Deep thoughts: I wonder if GenXer grandparents will model their grandparents in grand-parenting skills or if we’ll be another mostly youth-obsessed kind of elder village like the one in place now. I have such fond memories of grandparents being involved and on the scene and… old-looking…and interested and totally down with the role. It was stabilizing. This “I have better things to do than deal with grandkids and be perceived as old” business is unsettling IMHO. I am sincerely curious how I will approach this shift. #GrandPlans
